Over medium high heat fry Hamburger (in chunks), Onion, Salt & Pepper until burger is done.
PLEASE make sure you not just drain the beans, but rinse them too. The liquid they can beans in is gross and you don't want that coating to stay on the beans. I open all the cans and dump them into a strainer in the sink and rinse them well. (I use a combination of Navy Beans, Garbonzo Beans, Kidneys and Black Beans - whatever you like and have will work.)
While burger is cooking, let's get everything else in the crockpot. (You can do this in a casserole dish in the oven on 350 for about 30 minutes if you'd rather) Stir in Beans, Tomatoes, Tomato Sauce, Ketchup, Mustard, Brown Sugar, Worcestershire Sauce, Garlic, Salt & Pepper. Mix well. Stir in Burger & Onions.
Cook on low for at least 2 hours.
One of the great things about this recipe? You can easily make it vegetarian just by leaving the meat out. It's amazing that way too!
